Straight-through Backwash Filter

Straight-through backwash filter is a combination of general filtration and multi-functional filtration of cleaning and discharging. It is designed of new structure, the valve plate is set in the front section of the filter, and the valve position is adjusted by the handle to change the flow direction of water. It can avoid the problem that the filter must be cleaned in the traditional filtration cleaning, and makes the cleaning operation simple and reliable.

Working Principle

Normal Filtration: when water flow through, the diversion valve is open, the fine particles and suspended matter in water are deposited near the drain outlt due to inertia.

Drain Outlet Discharge: the diversion valve is open, when the fine particleas and suspended matter accumulate to a certain amount, the valve on the drain outlet is opened, and the impurities stuck in the filter collection section are flushed until the discharge water is clean. Then close the valve on drain outlet, and the system back to normal working state.

Backwash Blowdown: The diversion valve is closed, drain valve is open, and the water is forced to flow into the outer side of the filter cylinder and the sandwich of the shell through the mesh of the inlet section of the filter cylinder, and reverse the impurities adhering to the mesh. As the diversion valve is closed, the flow zone of water after the backwash valve increases and thus the to achieve good backwash.

Automatic backwash filter should be installed on right-angle elbow pipe and better to be installed horizontally or vertically. When install the straight-through backwash filter, the direction of water flow should be from the top to the bottom. When in operation, the butterfly valve should be open; close the butterfly valve and open drain valve for draining until the discharge water becomes clean.
